4G64 Eagle Talon For Sale
Location: Peoria, AZ
Background: I purchased the car in 2002 with a dead engine - previous owner run it out of oil. I had heard about the theory of using a 2.4L 4G64 block in place of the stock 2.0L 4G63 block. I decided to take on this project. Mind you, I am not that mechanically inclined and I don't have the facilities to really swap out engines and the like, but nonetheless I tried it anyway. The project turned out OK - in the end I ended up paying a well known DSM expert and the best shop in town to do everything.
The car runs great. It's a little slow off the line (as you'd expect) due to it's weight (AWD) and the big turbo. Once it's going, it's fun and fast!
You're probably wondering what speeds it will do, but unfortunately I've never taken it to the track to find out.
Yes, it is an automatic. I chose the A/T because of it's reputation for being durable and for the driveability. I've driven too many times in stop and go traffic and a manual really gets tiresome in that situation.
Regardless, I'm now ready to move on to something new, and here is the details...
And since not everyone knows... The Mitsubishi Eclipse and Eagle Talon were manufactured under an agreement between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Both of these cars rolled off of the same assembly line and are mechanically identical.

As you can see, I've dumped a ton of money into this car and it would be impossible to build this nice of a car for less. In fact, if you have another project car it would probably be cheaper to buy my car and strip it than to acquire all of the parts again. THIS IS PRACTICALLY A BRAND NEW CAR!
I'm not in a hurry to sell the car, so I will start the price here and lower it gradually until it is sold. Don't wait too long, it won't last!
